The Sagrada Familia will reach 200m in height
The Sagrada Familia, an architectural process initiated by Antoni Gaudí in 1883, already has a deadline for the completion of the construction of the six towers and is to 2022.
In the works works the highest crane ever installed in the city of Barcelona, capable of exceeding 180 meters in height. The prediction of the architect of the temple, Jordi Faulí, is that in the year 2022 the construction of the central towers ends with the placing of a cross of four arms and of 15 meters of height on the Tower of Jesus Christ. Along with the symbol of the Christian faith as crown will reach the 172.5 meters.
So it will be the highest building in the city.
In addition, the construction includes the facade of the Glòria, pending a special plan that depends on negotiations between the patronage of the Sagrada Família and the Barcelona City Council.
Restoration of the facade of the Naixement
The budget for the works has increased to 48.9 million euros (almost double that in 2016) because of the large amount of activity. Also, soon the restoration of the façade of the Naixement will begin, the only one that Gaudí saw in life.
The set of 18 towers with the temple will offer a different view depending on the time of day and from each angle. In addition, they highlight a novelty in the Tower of the Virgin Mary and is that it has reached 79 meters, more than half of its final height (138).
